Qualifications
-
Ph.D. 1992-1996, Fuel & Energy, the University of Leeds,
Leeds, U.K
Title of Thesis: A Shock Tube Study of Pyrolysis of Model
Fuel Oil Compounds
Fuel Combustion and energy engineering remained my PhD work
at the University of Leeds. The kinetics of decomposition of
chemically bound sulphur and nitrogen compounds has been
investigated. Detailed understandings of all processes
taking place during fuel combustion were gained by
undertaking computer modelling using computer code CHEMKIN-II
-
Post Doctoral Research Fellowship
2002-2003 Visiting Research Fellow SPEME, the University of
Leeds, Leeds, U.K Research: Modelling Heavy Metal Emissions from Waste
Incineration Metal emission is a major environmental problem throughout
world. The process of modelling such combustion systems is a
very complex procedure requiring high level of expertise. A
novel incineration bed model entitled Fluid dynamic
incinerator code, FLIC in a bed of waste was used. In
addition, a MASS TRANSFER and EQUILIBRIUM MODEL were also
used to investigate in particular the emission of heavy
metal from incineration of waste.
